A revocation of the cheque takes effect only after expiry of the time limit for presentation.

Where the cheque is not revoked, the drawee may make payment even after expiry of the time limit for presentation.

Where the drawer contends that he or a third party lost the cheque, he may forbid the drawee to cash it.
