Swiss authorities may not address to another State requests which they themselves could not grant under this Act.

The FOJ is competent for requests for extradition, transfer of proceedings or execution of criminal judgments; it shall take action at the request of the requesting Swiss authority.80

Conditions which the requested State attaches to the execution of the request must be observed by the Swiss authorities.

The FOJ may decline to make a request if the importance of the offence does not justify the proceedings.

The FOJ shall inform the requesting Swiss authority immediately if the requested State requires a court order for a requested mutual assistance measure.81
