In principle, mail-order trade in medicinal products is prohibited.

A licence may only be issued under the following conditions:
a.
there is a doctor’s prescription for the medicinal product;
b.
no safety requirements oppose it;
c.
appropriate consultation is guaranteed;
d.
sufficient medical supervision of the effect of the medicinal product is guaranteed.

The Federal Council shall regulate the details.

The cantons shall issue the authorisation.
