The Federal Council may issue regulations on the voluntary declaration of origin of forest products and their processed products in order to promote quality and sales.

Registration, protection of labels, procedures and legal protection are governed by the Agriculture Act of 29 April 199862.63

The Federal Council may transfer responsibility for the above to third parties.64
