If the debt enforcement proceedings have not been suspended by an objection to the summons for payment or by court decision, the creditor may file a request for continuation no earlier than 20 days after service of the summons.

This right expires one year after service of the summons. If an objection to the summons has been filed, this period shall be suspended between the initiation and settlement of any court or administrative proceedings brought as a result.

Receipt of the request for continuation shall be certified to the creditor free of charge on request.

A claim in a foreign currency may, at the creditor's request, be converted back into the national currency at the exchange rate on the date of the request for continuation.
