The Swiss law enforcement authorities shall submit their request for the transmission of available information for the purpose of preventing, detecting and prosecuting criminal offences via the OAC fedpol to other Schengen States.
The request must be written in a language specified by the Schengen State concerned or in English and must contain the information required in accordance with Article 6 paragraph 2.
The OAC fedpol shall check whether the request fulfils the requirements of paragraph 2. If this is not the case, it shall inform the requesting law enforcement authority and give it the opportunity to revise its request. If the requirements are met, it shall forward the request to the National Point of Contact of the Schengen State concerned.
It shall forward the information received from the Schengen State to the requesting law enforcement authority and make reference to any restrictions on the use of the information and to the confidentiality obligations.
